Hotel Gokova, Turkey
A beautiful hotel in the quiet town of Gokova, begining to become famous for it's excellent Kitesurfing conditions and beaches. The wind blows between May to September and this is a friendly and cheap place to learn to kitesurf.
Kiters Paradise, Cumbuco, Brazil
This is the stuff dreams are made of. A cheap, beautiful Pousada, only 120m away from the beach. The 15 appartments are airy and comfortable and lie surrounding lucious gardens and a refreshing pool. The wind in Cumbuco blows June to January when the town is alive with kitesurfers in it's many restaurants, bars and shops.
Mellia Gorrionnes Hotel, Sotavento, Fuerteventura
A beautifully refurbished, relaxing hotel set on a stunning 4km desert beach. Make sure you get a sea view room so that you can watch as kites launch from the kite centre which is a 5 minute walk away along the beach. The hotel is clean an comfortable and the food and drink provided as part of the all inclusive package is second to none. Book through a tour operator such as Thomson and get a really cheap deal. Beware tho - there is NOTHING in the surrounding area in terms of clubs or bars, so only head there if you're looking for a place to kite and chill out.
Chalet le Vieux Village, Val D'isere, France
Located right in the centre of one of the most popular resorts in the alps, this is one of few affordable options in Val D'isere. Chalet Vieux Village is full of young people looking for a cheap and fun ski holiday and that's what this place offers. Rooms are basic but clean. Food is plentiful and tasty and unlimmited wine is served with dinner. It's right next to the Morris Bar and a 2 minute walk from the slopes. You can't lose.
